Can’t believe I haven’t blogged in a zillion years! Oh my word, you… too? We’re TWINS! *wink, wink* LOL. Yeah, yeah, Christmas is long gone, and there’s a thick layer of dust in here for sure. Hahaha, yikes. Anyhow, I really feel like doing spring cleaning today and trying to work my way through a pile of started-and-not-finished posts.
So a few days before the New Year (#throwback), Ralph and his two close friends decided to spend the last bits of 2014 in PD. I was, of course, very excited too. In fact, any combination of sand, sea and (grilled) sausages does it for me.
So we did it! Hit the highway after brunch on New Year’s Eve and without a moment of traffic, we arrived the small town slightly sooner than expected.
#2 The apartment itself has two bedrooms and everything necessary for a comfortable stay.
After checking in and putting our bags down, they went out to hunt for food. While time could be spent eating late lunch with them, my sights were set on the bed hahaha, and I settled in for a quick nap.
In the evening, we carried heaps of heavy stuff down to the beach.
Well, I didn’t know they had a grassy area overlooking the ocean specifically designated for barbecue and it seemed like everyone was out grilling their food.
Note: if you are staying at this resort and planning to have a BBQ, you must reserve one in advance to make sure you get a spot.
#7 Ralph marinated the chicken overnight and they were flavorful. He also made some chili sauce for dipping and oh my god! *smoke-out-of-the-ears*
#8 ‘Cincai’ salad
#9 I could literally eat all these grilled shrimp skewers in one sitting. Mmmm, I’m getting hungry.
Besides that, there were foil-wrapped potatoes on the grill and some other things that I don’t remember.
We spent the night chatting, eating, chatting, eating until… I heard my stomach said, “Enough!” Oops? Didn’t touch the grilled fish and sausages, but gosh, what I would do now to be at the beach having BBQ food all over again!
#11 On the stroke of midnight, *whizz, zoom, BOOM!* we farewelled the old and looked forward to the new.
#14 HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRIENDS! Better late than never, right? LOL.
I slept like a baby that night and didn’t wake up until 11 am. After assembling myself from scratch with limited time (had to check out by 1 pm), I went down to the pool area.
#16 And these were the happy faces that greeted me.
#19 Do Re Mi
#23 Oh, didn’t get my Vitamin Sea, though.
I just simply took some pictures and we quickly returned to the apartment to pack up our things.
Indeed, it was too short a trip, but definitely one to remember. Our day did not end there, but I’m too sleepy to continue blogging right now.
*gasp* Just realized July is coming.
The first half of 2015 is almost gone.
